StationPro + Plaid

Bank-account linking, auto-reconcile cash deposits without manual statement upload.

What Plaid is.

Plaid is the standard for fintech bank-account aggregation in the US, the rail that Venmo, Chime, Robinhood, and most modern banking apps use to read account data. StationPro uses Plaid Auth and Plaid Transactions to read account balances and transaction history from whatever bank your station already uses.

What data flows between Plaid and StationPro.

Plaid issues a read-only token after you authenticate with your bank in a Plaid pop-up. StationPro then pulls daily transaction history and current balances. We never see or store your bank credentials, Plaid holds the connection and we receive structured transaction data only. No write access; we cannot move money via Plaid.

What Plaidalone doesn't give you.

The cash side of EOD reconciliation usually breaks because the deposit lag and the bank statement live in a different system from the daily close. Owners check the statement weekly, catch a missed deposit on day 9 instead of day 1, and the audit trail back to the responsible shift is gone. The data shape doesn't fit the close workflow.

How StationPro closes the gap.

Plaid feeds daily deposits, ACH receipts, and bank fees into StationPro. EOD reconciliation compares expected deposit (yesterday's cash variance) against actual deposit (today's bank transaction). Missing or short deposits surface within 24 hours, attributed to the shift that closed the day, not at month-end. Multi-store cash position is live, not weekly.

How Plaid onboarding works.

  1. Scoping call

A 30-minute walk-through of your current setup with Plaid. We confirm credentials, data shape, and the workflows you need feeding into StationPro.

  2. Connection

We wire the Plaid feed into your StationPro tenant. Depending on the banking, this is a credential paste, a webhook config, or a same-day support ticket with the vendor.

  3. Backfill

Historical Plaid data from the last 90 days is ingested so EOD, Loss Radar, and audit views have context from day one, not just data going forward.

  4. Go-live

Clerks and managers trained on the integrated flows. We monitor the first 7 days closely and fix anything that doesn't feel right.

Questions about Plaid.

Is Plaid secure for business banking?

Yes. Plaid uses bank-grade encryption and is OAuth-style for the major US banks (Chase, BofA, Wells, etc., credentials never leave the bank's site). Bank-level partnerships avoid the credential-storage concerns of older screen-scraping approaches.

Which banks are supported?

Plaid covers 12,000+ US banks. All major nationals (Chase, BofA, Wells, Citi), most regionals (PNC, Truist, US Bank, Fifth Third, Capital One), and the credit unions used by independent operators (Navy Federal, PenFed, USAA, etc.). If your bank is on plaid.com/institutions, we connect to it.

Can I link multiple accounts?

Yes. Multi-store operators typically link one operating account per store plus a central treasury account. All flow into the same StationPro tenant; you see consolidated cash position with per-store attribution.

On the demo call, we'll show you the connected dashboard with seeded data and walk through the onboarding steps.
