Lottery accountability tracks every scratcher serial in and out by barcode scan, then reconciles daily against the state-commission report. Missing tickets surface the moment a gap appears with the on-shift clerk attached. Pack activation, settlement, and return are all timestamped. Reconciliation against CA Lottery, NY Lottery, TX Lottery, and other state commissions runs nightly.

Overview
What it does.
Barcode-scan books in and out. The system tracks every scratcher serial number, flags missing tickets the moment a gap appears, and ties the gap back to the shift on the clock. Reconciles daily against state-lottery commission reports.

- Daily reconciliation against CA Lottery (and other state commissions)
- Per-shift accountability for opens, sales, and closes

Questions
FAQs
How does serial-gap detection actually work?
Every scratcher has a serial number; packs are sequential. When a clerk scans tickets out, we track which serials sold and which remain. If serial #023 sells but #024 is missing without sale, that's a gap, flagged immediately with the clerk on shift at the moment the gap appears.
Which state lotteries are supported?
California (CDLC), New York, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and several others. We ingest the daily settlement report from the state commission and reconcile against our own tracked sales. New states get added by request. The import is a one-week build.
What if my POS already tracks lottery?
POS lottery tracking captures sales, not loss. The POS doesn't know which serial activated or whether all serials made it back. We work alongside the POS. POS handles the transaction, we handle the accountability layer (serial movement, shift attribution, commission reconciliation).
Do I need a special scanner?
No. Any phone or tablet camera works. Optional dedicated barcode scanners ($40 USB models) speed up the in/out workflow for high-volume stores but aren't required. Most operators use a tablet at the lottery counter.
