About
Founder-led. Bootstrapped. US-based.
The story behind StationPro and the people building it.
Why we built this
Walk into any independent gas station back office and you'll find the same picture: a manila folder full of vendor invoices, a printed lottery commission report from last week, a manager doing EOD on a calculator next to a 2008-era POS terminal, and an owner texting their bookkeeper a photo of yesterday's deposit.
The incumbents in this space (PDI, Petrosoft, Series2K) have been selling against that picture for 20+ years, and the picture hasn't changed. They built ERP-grade software for a workforce that doesn't use ERP-grade software, and they layered modules on top until the cognitive load of operating the back office matched the cognitive load of operating the station itself.
StationPro was built around a different premise. The clerk doesn't need software with 400 buttons. The owner doesn't need a 60-page report. Both of them need a system that quietly does the boring work and surfaces only the things that demand a decision: by name, by shift, by dollar impact. That premise is what AI makes possible in 2026 and what it didn't in 2006. So we're building it.
We're bootstrapped on purpose. Our customers cover our costs. We're not on a VC clock, which means we don't have a runway deadline and we're not measured against a quarterly growth target. The thing we're measured against is whether the pilot operator renews, and whether the next pilot starts.
How we work with customers
Five steps. Same every time.
No multi-week procurement cycle, no surprise SOW. The pilot path is fixed so your team can plan against it before our first call.
- 01
Pilot one station first.
Pick your highest-pain location. Same per-store price as the rest of your portfolio; no commitment to roll the other stations.
- 02
Configure around your current workflow.
Your POS, your accounting platform, your lottery vendor, your payroll cadence. We adapt to them. We don't ask you to adapt to us.
- 03
Train clerks on the smallest possible flow.
Three-tap EOD. Clerks finish their first close without supervision, owners get a 30-minute walkthrough, and that's the operating manual.
- 04
Review leakage and close time weekly.
A founder reviews the first four weeks of variance, lottery attribution, and invoice OCR with you. Tune thresholds. Decide what's signal, what's noise.
- 05
Expand when value is visible.
Roll the next station only after the pilot store hits the three success criteria we agreed on at kickoff. If it doesn't, we wind down. No expansion pressure.

How we work
Four principles. Memorized, not framed.
- 01
Built for non-savvy clerks.
Most clerks in independent stations are not power users. We design every workflow around the three-tap test: if a non-technical person can't finish it in three taps, we redesign it.
- 02
We don't prevent theft. We attribute it.
Nobody can stop a determined thief without on-site security. What we can do is tell you who was on shift, what changed, and which pattern is repeating, so you can act, not guess.
- 03
No lock-in.
Bring your POS, your accounting system, your camera vendor. Pay monthly. Export your data as CSV anytime. If we stop earning the renewal, we stop earning the renewal.
- 04
Founder-led support.
When you call StationPro during a pilot, a founder picks up. We don't hire customer-success staff before we hire engineers, because the engineers and founders are the support team.
